Training About our Training About our Training Domestic abuse happens in every community and is one of society’s most devastating crimes. It severely impacts the lives of millions of survivors and their children in the UK and across the globe every year. It is incredibly difficult for survivors to disclose their experiences of abuse and without training, it can be difficult to know how to respond. Your response matters. With barriers on both sides it is essential that we understand domestic abuse to be "everyone's business" and that everyone has the ability to recognise abuse, respond appropriately to survivors and refer them to local domestic abuse services. This is why training is so important - it can transform the survivor journey, improve service provision and contribute to the early intervention and prevention of abuse. At Safer Places we have a range of training courses and qualifications available, from short 3 hour sessions to Level 3 and 4 accredited qualifications enabling you to work with those at the highest risk of domestic abuse and stalking. We also work alongside businesses and organisations, catering to your individual needs to give you and your teams the tools, skills and confidence to respond to survivors and gain an in-depth understanding of perpetrator typologies and interventions to break the cycle of abuse. Short Courses We have a range of short courses available from domestic abuse awareness to specialist stalking courses and DASH risk assessment training. You are an excellent trainer, so engaging, very informative and knowledgeable" "I have been on so many different domestic abuse training session and never learnt as much as what I did during J9" "I attended the J9 training session at Basildon service centre and wow what an eye opener, I left the room with so many different emotions. I had a lump in my throat and a fire in my heart pledging to myself that I would be vigilant and get help to these vulnerable people if they needed it. Little did I know that the very next day everything that I’d learnt would actually then come into play".
